I have a 2017 Chevy Equinox that would not start. I got a jump, and display screen went black. No radio, clock, back-up camera, Sirius xm radio, or wifi available. Took car to an auto shop since it was a Sunday and dealership was closed. Was told battery is not holding charge and could be dead cell. I purchased a new battery but display screen is still not working. I did see some videos that states to press call button on rear view mirror and others states its a fuse. I can not understand why this is a common issue yet there is no recall on these GM vehicles.
If you search, this is a common issue with Chevy Equinox, Cruze, Malibu, and Terrain. Shame on GM for having this consistent issue and it's not being addressed. The dealership says I purchased an extended warranty but my deductible is $100 and a diagnostic is $115. I have to wait 2 weeks for service appointment and still do not know if its covered or not. I may have to pay $100 deductible only if its covered but if the service is not recovered, I have to pay $115 for diagnostic plus the cost of repairs. This is my first and mostly my last Chevy/GM vehicle, I am one very unhappy customer for a car I purchased 3 years ago brand new.
Update from Jul 27, 2020: Also the turn signals work, but there is no sound and the door alarm does not work.
