The radio ceased to come on at all when the car is started. However, when you put it in reverse, the screen lights up and is somewhat functional but has zero sound: no alerts, no ticking of the turn signals, nothing. We tried the fuses, doing a factory reset, pulling the battery, nothing would reset it. I saw a YouTube video where they got it working with the OnStar button, but that didn't work for us either.

I finally caved in and took it to the dealer who said it needs a new radio module, which costs just over $600 for the part, that doesn't include the diagnostic fees and labor. Total quote to replace the piece of junk that they installed in this vehicle: $800. On a car that is barely 2 years old. I'm very disappointed.
