The contact owns a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated that the defroster was emitting an abnormal odor and she was highly allergic to mold which caused her congestion. The dealer was not informed of the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the issue and informed the contact to contact NHTSA since there was no recall related to the defroster. The failure mileage was 30,000. The VIN was not available.
