Equinox RS 1.5L Turbo

First occurrence about 12k- Auto Start stopped engine at red light but engine would not restart, Towed to dealership and told issue was fuel sensor - repaired under warranty. About a week later, at exit for interstate. Stopped at stop sign at base of off ramp. Auto Start stopped engine and it would not restart. Called On Star and had towed to dealer. Kept 3 weeks but no problem found. Four days later, stopped to fill up fuel location. After fill up engine would not restart. Called On Star - towed to different dealership. Kept two weeks but no cause found despite problem re-occurring twice.

Issue continues to occur. 19 times since last two. I have since found that if it occurs I can disconnect the battery for 10 sec and reconnect. This seems to reboot the electronics allowing car to start. To prevent engine stopping unexpectedly I now must turn off Auto Start when ever engine is started. Other observations: 1) With each occurrence the dash is illuminated and the engine light and an icon of car with padlock appears. Info on dash states "anti-theft engaged". Once battery is disconnected and reconnected, and engine is started - Dash info requests the driver window be opened and closed. Also, immediately prior to the start command not initiating, when the brake petal is applied and start button is pressed, there will be a tempatic response (several quick thumps from behind the petal). Dealership service centers have been no help. Battery and terminal connections have been checked by dealerships and no issues found. No error codes have been found. I believe it is software/firmware related. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
