Express 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,833 miles
2001 Chevrolet Express van has been towed into dealership twice, first at 4.833 miles and then at 13,833 miles due to engine running rough and stalling while traveling on highway. First occurence, dealer stated there was a technical service bulletin concerning this problem due to an A/C line routed too close to the distributor causing moisture to collect in distributor. On second tow, dealer stated the bulletin did not apply to this vehicle but once again the distributor cap was replaced due to moisture build up. Numerous E-mails and phone calls to Chevrolet/GM in an effort to have someone try and determine the cause of problem have yielded no results. Manufacturer and dealership have both stated that there is nothing more that can be done. Vehicle was towed to same dealership on both occasions. Vehicle has approximately 15,000 miles now.
