Express 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles
During panic stop with empty vehicle, brake effectiveness was insufficient. Brake pedal traveled to mechanical stop with no antiskid cycling, no wheel skids. Examination of road surface afterwards showed not even a faint trace of tire marks. Vehicle was being operated on freeway and brakes had not been used for several hours prior to this stop. An hour after this incident an intentional panic stop was made from 65mph to reconfirm, results were the same. Vehicle is being scheduled for inspection by dealer. Note: The original front brake pads were replaced several months ago due to the oem front grease seals failing and causing grease contamination of the front innner disc brake pads.
