This is my second CHEVY HHR. My first one i only had for about a month before my world and others world came crashing down on us here is my story.

June 18 2007 my son's and friends were in this car my son that was driving had just graduated from north Crowley High school 2 weeks before this accident he had also completed drivers ed maybe 2 to 3 months prior he had also just turned 18 in February

4 months before this terrible accident, he was getting on to the freeway and where he was getting on at is also an off ramp as well as an on ramp so we all know that most people accelerate to get on a freeway. Well it started to rain he lost control of this car spinning and may be hitting the center wall before spinning again and rolled over and flipping back to an upright position. He suffered at the time severe head trauma loss conscious they had to drill a hole in his head to relieve pressure building up on the brain. Upon draining of the brain they discovered a life threaten situation a brain clot that was growing faster which would require them to do emergency brain surgery i was told then he could die he also had a bone in his arm showing an a two to three inch long cut on his arm wide open just white meat showing he also had to have blood transfusions which once again the doctors told me without this he could also die upon signing these papers they also informed me that with this blood transfer he could have seizures, aids etc. this was very hard for me to sign a paper saying that they are not responsible if these things occurred so i signed to get him in surgery.

Two passengers, both in the back seat not wearing seat belts, somehow came out of that car. The little boy died from injuries from this accident. the little girl was in a coma with a broken leg & arm and hole drilled in her head too. I prayed from one floor of this hospital to the next praying for these kids to be alright unfortunately one life was lost and i cried & i cried & prayed & prayed asking god what happen to give me a sign of what happen .cause this just didn'T stop here my son has been going to court for this matter they threw every thing on him that they could find in the books he now faces a (manslaughter 2nd degree felony)

I have been praying for help and a sign of what might have happen and when you ask god for something he might not give it show up right away but he's always on time. the mother of the little boy who passed away bless his heart the she wants my son in prison. there were no drugs or alcohol involved in this accident. the grandprarie pd set my son's bai at thirty thousand dollars for a kid that has never been in trouble they offered him the 1st time 5yrs in prison then they tried to get us to plead guilty to a ten yrs probation i said no so we are still going to court with this i have seen drunk drivers get a lesser sentence and they where driving drunk. this is still a kid who was nice enough to transport his friends and while doing so a freak accident occurred. this is outrageous punishment for a kid fresh out of high school dazed and confused his self with no memory of what happen or what malfunctions or defects on this car that could have cause this accident he should not have to take this blame no one picks up friends and intend to harm there self there youngest brother or others that were in this car. i just being praying and i know that god is in control of all things when this accident occurred.

The mother asked me were there any recalls on my car because she would not want us to be at all fault and out of pocket. i knew then she was after money but i cried and cried and ask going to help me show me a sign. and now he has shown me thanks to you guys, AutoBeef, and all the people who have shared there insights on this deadly car. The bad thing is my insurance paid off the one he had the wreck in and Chevy put me in another one a month later not knowing about all the problems and still no recalls showing not even two weeks of having this one i taken it back telling them about the antifreeze had leaked out from somewhere& brakes and the shaking in the front when you slowdown they called me back and said this was normal wear &tear on the breaks but something maybe a rock had punctured a whole in the radiator so we thought being a brand new car how could this happen so ok we said fix it they called and said every things fine my car is ready happy that my car was ready i went to pick it up cranked my car up turned on the air and started down the street i notice my ac was not working made a half a block and pulled back in to the dealership the sales person was shocked to see me back not even 5 min. later they pulled around to the shop i told them my ac was working when i left my car here and now its not well they said maybe they forgot to hook something back up i said to my self great maybe it want take to long well little to my surprise they came back with the same story about the radiator a rock or something had put a whole in the condenser and i was like how could that be possible when u guys were working on the car and i just picked it up well of course it was not covered under the warranty then i was ticked so out of pocket now to fix ac i said to my self they must have some damn good mechanics to fixed such a problem in less than thirty five min i was back in my car and on the road come on a blind would know time is of value to the 20.00 hr mechanics but to replace a ac condenser and freon.

It is impossible in the automotive bus. had to come out of pocket on a brand new car i thought thats why you buy a new car for the warranty it carries and not having to spend all that money out of pocket . now months later im experiecing the power failure engine just dying i thought it was my battery until i got it checked was not the battery still to this day i dont know what it is every now and then it will shut off and want start then finally it starts. now since my wife has been driving this car she has notice the low traction or something with the idling of the car also the popping sound is back in the front end every now and then. i am so heart broken that i did not know these things before this accident i now know that god has given me what i was looking for and now i do believe that this car with all its defects and recalls on the roof rails and the top caving in had to do also with the more severe head injury of my son and also the ones that was hurt in this accident suffered also do to this vehicle's defects and or recalls on such as warped brakes, tires,front end suspension popping noise, car shutting off, and the failure to pass safety side and head impact. how can gm get passed the department of highway safety and put this car on the streets.and let it claim the life of my son,s friend. and almost claimed his girlfriends aunt,s life and his and his baby brother,girl friend sister and others.i thank god for showing me this . and i thank god for all who have shine a little more light on this matter.

I dont have the money that i need to fight this case against my son but all i ask is that all just pray for us and these families that was involved in this. god bless everyone. we are due back in court jan 5 2009 please pray for my son peace and release. ps. your prayers and help is very much needed. so any info. you would like to share or a sent prayer would be fine thank you and god bless.
