Both front interior plastic door handles snapped off within 2 weeks of each other. The dealer estimate was $110 -$175 each! I considered DIY and bought handles for $30. However, I discovered the entire module must be replaced. I'm forced to roll down the windows, reach out to the exterior handle to open the damn doors. Really classy.

This car is crap. I had to have ignition switch replaced. It was a recall item. The entire air bag module on steering wheel falls off. Dealer estimate is $4000. The fuel economy is terrible at 21 mpg. A few times, while accelerating, the engine lost acceleration for several seconds. The a/c doesn't work. It needs a condenser at cost of $600. It was 113 degrees, yesterday. The repairs cost more than the car is worth.

Overall, it is a dog to drive. Obviously, the plastic is defective and Chevy needs to do the repair on their dime. The part manufacturer needs to be accountable for faulty product. I find it suspect that the entire module needs replacement and it is difficult to remove. The Youtube videos I viewed inadvertently, demonstrated significant stress marks (plastic looks whitish when bent and weakened) on the inside of the interior door panel. This raises serious concerns and safety issues.

Safety problem, someone is going to die from this. Should be a recall. The dealer just laughs and said sorry about that!!! Its too bad as the car has been real neat and worked well for reasons I bought it.. DynoDon
