The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet HHR. The contact stated that the odor of fuel was present outside of the vehicle. Upon inspection, fuel was discovered leaking from the corroded and rusted fuel lines located near the rear driver-??s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel lines needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not yet contacted regarding the failure. The failure mileage was 133,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet HHR. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, he detected a strong fuel odor inside the vehicle. The fuel odor was also detected when the vehicle was parked however, there was no visible fuel leak on the ground. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that there was a fuel line leak near the rear driver's side tire that had rusted fuel lines caused by an enclosed nylon block that supported the fuel lines. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 151,000.
