Impala 3.8L V6

My radio worked intermittently for about a month then one day it stopped altogether. I'm pretty sure the radio itself isn't broke since it will still take and eject CDs and change radio stations. I think it is a messed up connection between the radio and speakers since not even the chimes are able to be heard when you use your radio to reset your oil change light. Since it isn't a problem that can effect reliability of the car I'm not going to fix it because I can't afford to spend the extra money. I'm sure it will be alot since the radio is pretty well buried in the dash and that gets expensive when they have to pull the dash. I find that things can get a little boring on long trips. It is definitely annoying but not life threatening.

Radio works when it wants to... I can be driving down the road listening to the radio and it will just quit working. A couple DAYS later I'll be driving down the road and the radio will come on full blast and scare the living *hit out of me... NOT GOOD!!!
