this car is a piece of ---- if it is not one thing then it is another and they all seem to be well known problems that GM should handle. GM can count me out on ever buying another car or truck from them.

Looking to fix the AC/heater blower. It only works on setting five. Not a critical detail, but annoying, especially on longer rides out here in suburban Chicago.

the switch to turn the heater fan on only works on the number 5 setting, first the 1 & 2 setting broke than the 3& 4 setting broke the dealer says it will cost approx 300.00 dollars to repair it, the old cars never had a problem as such, if this is new tech, then PLEASE go back to the old reliable.

So midwinter in Iowa my heat/AC switch only decided to work on setting 5 which is the highest. It was super annoying because I was either baking or freezing in my car. After googling for a hour I figured out the problem was my blower motor resistor was bad. Simple fix with directions found online. I know nothing about cars but was able to fix this by myself. From what I read if all settings go out then it's a bad fan switch, if only 4 go out then it's the resistor. I'm pretty sure mine went out due to leaking water in from the front pass. door while parked on a hill (whole other problem within it's self) from where I park daily.

This will be the 3rd time I've had to have this heater/air conditioner resister replaced. The first time was about 2 years ago at the dealer and the 2nd time I took it to an independent - he replaced both the motor and the resister - he said. Now it's not working again and will only blow on the highest level (5) and none of the lower levels. I am sick of the problems I've had with this car. It rides great and I've loved the looks of it, but what a lemon. There have been so many BIG problems as well as these smaller ones that I can't tell you all of them. EGR, Catalytic converter, transmission, all four window motors, steering noise and jerky steering, apparently from the drive axles and wheel bearings. It's just been awful trying to keep up with the repairs on this car. I've NEVER owned a car that had so MANY problems. Then to go to this site and see all the complaints just like mine - I couldn't believe how validated I feel!
