Impala LS 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 255,000 miles

Dashboard lights would just click on when they wanted to pretty much. After driving for a while you could hear the sensor click on and all of the lights would then kick on except the whole speedometer area. Radio, car mileage, and the information overhead worked. My Dashboard lights DID come on 1 night, and I do mean 1 night, out of a whole year but very dim. I could barely still notice them on but from pitch black to a soft, ghostly, fog type forest green color I could tell they at least still had working bulbs. Dealership said $300.

Impala 3.4L V6

The cluster is not working at all and I can still use my dash lights, just with the knob. However, I went weeks intermittently without any lights at all. This car has given me many problems, even though it still runs like a brand new car.

The dash lights work sometimes during the day and never work at night. the sensor in the defroster is not blocked. Using the light switch does not have any effect.
