Well were to begin. I'll try to keep it short; it may seem like many problems but really it is just one unknown cause to them. I feel this may be an isolated incident however some one else may have this problem too or hopefully and answer. It started when the engine would sporadically rev itself up to about 3k RPM and the air conditioner compressor would erradically engage and disengage the cooling fans would also do the same. thought it was the Throttle Position Sensor, alas it was not. Then I thought it was the Idle Air Control Sensor however it was not. After I had replaced these two sensors ($200) I came to the conclusion it was time to take it into an auto mechanic. I took it to Steve Steeb auto service in Ann Arbor MI. This guy is really honest and is know to be able to fix any problem; he was recommended to me by several different people. Anyway, he is stumped on this as well. He replaced and reprogrammed/flashed a new ECM road tested it and all. I paid for services rendered ($500) and about three miles away from the shop the car exhibited the same symptoms. I immediately took the car back and was frustrated. Turns out the ECM was not the issue either and whatever the cause has possibly destroyed this new ECM as well. It is still under warrenty by the part manufacturer. The auto mechanic has no clue what this could be other than it is recieving a mixed signal from the Body Control Module which in turn is somehow getting a bad signal from (in my opinion) a faulty sensor or a bad ground in a circuit somewhere. I initially thought it was a voltage regulator issue but this was ruled out. Currently this is where this issue stands. Unresolved. I should also note that the problems do not occur when the car is first started (i. e. in the mornings after sitting all night.)

First noticed irratic idling, rpm's would jump 2000, then almost stall. Then started having hesitations on acceleration, really bad on hard acceleration where I thought something was going to break. Then noticed on cruise control, stuttering. Took long time to log a code, and only did it once. Dealer said Air Flow sensor once I could finally show up with the code present. Phone around for used, lots out there.
