I took my car to three different place to have the traction system serviced. The first place charged me $150.00 just to look at it, then told me there was nothing wrong.
The second place charge me $450.00 and replaced the right hub, the problem went away for two weeks.
I took the car to a Chevy dealership where they checked out the problem and told me all I needed was a new battery. This took care of the problem until April 2009. I now have to take it back in to have the left hub replaced for another $450.

My ABS and Traction control light was coming on intermittently. Replacement of two front bearing assembly's that were grinding and hoped that would also fix the ABS problem.WRONG! I noticed that after the car was started and before I turned the steering wheel the light was off. Turning the steering wheel turned the ABS and traction control ON. I used a simple ohm meter and found that the wiring harness had an intermittent OPEN. I cut the twisted pair of wires from the connectors on both ends leaving enough wire to splice onto.I then took two # 18 gauge wires and twisted the entire length using a drill on one end and the other end in a vice. I covered these two wires using scotch 33 electrical tape and tie rapped this new pair of wires onto the existing wires without removing the old ( too much of a pain to remove and replace) Spliced both ends and I have NO more problems. This should be a recall!!!! The wire that was used will fail over time .No doubt about it
