When we bought our Impala we had the same problem with the windshield wipers getting stuck in the middle. At the time the dealer took care of it for us. A year to the day later the same problem happened. I had mentioned to to a couple of mechanics and they think that the sensor in the motor just had to be adjusted and it would cost around a hundred dollars to fix the problem. More than likely when the weather is cold out and it starts to ice the sensor is off and it probably is an easy fix, just a pain in the ass.

So as soon as we get under the hood this spring, I will write back and give those poor people with the same problem some advice. Oh and one more thing, since my problem occurred I have seen at least 4 other Impalas in my home town with their windshield wipers sticking up in the air. So guys, you are not alone. Don't be embarrassed, there are other cars out there with the same problem!

The wiper motor stopped in the middle of the wind shield.....WTF?

My last car was a Toyota Camry and I drove that car with out any problems for 288,000 miles other than n ormal wear and tear.

I have had nothing but problems(electrical) with this piece of junk, and General Motors wonders why they are going under?

I think GM programs their cars to nickle & dime you as soon as the warranty expires.

This will be my LAST American car!

i always wanted this car and never in a million years did i ever think that i would have to go through something like this. It is very embarrassing that your windshield wipers stop in the middle of your window and it is not even raining

Impala V6

my wipers were stopping in the middle of my windshield so i took it to the dealer dunn Chevy olds in Oregon Ohio they told me my relay was bad and they cracked my windshield wile working on it . well the windshield was replace free three times because it was not installed right and the molding strips down the top of my car are still popping up . and they also moved a rain deverter so when it rained i had an inch or two of water in my passenger side floor board . so if you live near Oregon Ohio never buy a car from dunns and defiantly don't use their service dept

The windshield wipers won't go down they move and wipe but when i shut them off they stay up. It is a pain in the butt because it causes problems to see. I still don't know how much it will cost me to get it fixed.. I'm not sure if something is stuck or not.
