2nd repair in a matter of weeks! So the air started to blow warm again after just a couple weeks. We were told there was a leak and we would have to have the entire AC system replaced due to the compressor failing. The warranty only covered parts of the AC so we had to pay out of pocket for the others. The actual cost of the repair without the warranty would have totaled $

I bought this piece of junk used in April 2011..BIG MISTAKE!

In May the air began to blow warm so we took it in for service, thinking we may just need Freon. We were advised the blower was working fine. AC was empty so the mechanic recharged the a/c system and added the dye to see the leak. Advised to recheck in 2-4 weeks to estimate repairs.

Absolutely ridiculous! Compressor breaks down, not covered under any form of warranty, so I got an aftermarket compressor (not another JUNK AC Delco compressor), lifted the engine and replaced the compressor; refilled the A/C system with refrigerant and no issues. If you take it to a dealer, cost is incredible.

Garage reports no a/c due to the under dash component leaking, estimates $1400 cdn to fix - all labor of course, must tear dash apart. It will be a hot summer, can't justify that on a vehicle this old with that mileage. Pathetic design, my old Caprice could access this stuff under the front cowl from the engine compartment.

A/C stopped working. Not much of a problem I live in new England,

but at the same time I found that the dashboard levers to adjust

the airflow temp not working either. They will change on rare occasions... usually if I adjust it then turn off the engine when I start it the next time it sometimes works.

I keep it on heat for the most part so I can get my windshield clear of ice or condensation.
