My car is a 2004 Impala with 84,500 miles on it.My speedometer should still be operating on a car that is 4 yrs old. Leaving the driveway you will be on "0" then as soon as you barely get up to speed it will jump to 70 miles a hour, even though I "may" be going 20 miles an hour at the time. This poses a terrible risk to the owner and others. Chevrolet should fix this problem at no cost to the owners before someone gets hurt.

After starting car, accelerating in forward or reverse would cause the traction control system and light to activate. Same thing would happen occasionally when traveling slow around a 90 degree corner. A couple times, the "Service Traction Control" light turned on, but would not persist across a restart.
The service rep. said it might be a wheel hub bearing, but it turned out to be frayed speed sensor wires on the right front wheel. The speed sensor harness was replaced and the problem went away.
