This car eats rotors and brake pads. At 20K miles I had to take it to the dealer to have them turned. They told me it was from driving on the freeway. SERIOUSLY.
I took the car to a tire shop recently because it had a horrible vibration in it and we had just replaced the rotors all the way around (again, probably every 5,000 miles or so) and I thought that one of my tires was out of balance. (New tires, under warranty). Tire guy was nice enough to show me how my rotors that had 1200 miles on them were turning blue form over heating due to an issue with the calipers. He said there is a little hydraulic tube on calipers that helps control how they open and close. Apparently mine don't do that so well and are causing calipers to hang up on rotors. Would have been nice to know that seven years ago when I first took the car in for that problem.
Thanks, Chevrolet for once again using garbage parts on your car and then not fixing it while it was under warranty causing me to spend hundreds of dollars and breath explaining that I don't drive like a crazy person, its my brakes that are garbage.
