I hit a deer going 65 mph on 12/19/2009. The entire front end of my car was seriously damaged, but my airbags never deployed. The radiator exploded and damaged the air conditioning system. The car was leaking antifreeze, break fluid, and transmission fluid. The front end of my car was nearly demolished with a repair bill totaling $5448.21.
I hit my chest on the steering wheel and my knee on the dashboard. I injured my left wrist and need to wear a brace for the next several weeks.
I was driving a 2005 Chevy Impala, fully loaded. I bought it brand new right off the showroom floor. I wish you could see the pictures. The police officer, firemen, ambulance driver, and tow truck operators could not understand why the airbags didn't work. I'm shocked! I trusted my life to GM and all I got from them was a generic email saying that they couldn't respond to my complaint personally. Do I need a lawyer? What do I do to make sure my airbags work in the future?
