Impala 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 76,000 miles

Right now its pretty much just a nuisance. My trans. will pick and choose days where it will slip continuously and then it wont happen again for quite some time.I had this checked before but the dealer couldn't find anything.

(reported on)

Impala LX 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 39,000 miles

One day i'm cruising down the street and out of know where the transmission gets stuck in third gear. There was no warning, no check engine light or anything. the same day take it to the local dealer where after a couple of days of "supposedly" testing the car, they could not find anything wrong with it. Two months later, the car starts to loose power and bogg out when accelerating. i decided to take it back to the dealer, which by now the warranty has expired on the car. This time they tell me that the transmission is going bad. that is just ridiculous. this is a 2005 Impala with less than 40,000 miles on it and the tranny is out. I love my Chevy impala but i don't think i will be buying GM or ford in the future. Does anybody else feel this way. GM is full of sh*t!
