problem #1

Impala LT 3.9L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 72,000 miles

2006 Chev. Impala - June 26 in heavy freeway traffic : Engine light came on (after hearing 'tick-tick' ) and another light came on ... engine started "bucking" - = barely got off freeway to 22 and Capital in Milw WI {bad area to be in / 5PM} - AAA flatbed to Heiser Chev of West Allis, WI (AAA only allows 5 miles on tow !! :( ???) = $$$

Fri: Get call that there was an electrical pblm. w distributor and wiped out all 6 plugs ( 1 exploded ) and would cost approx $800 to repair. { I personally believe it all has to do with Ignition / electronic problems for MFG recall ...).

Mon: I Get call, more extensive ... while test driving, engine stalls, and determining pblm would consist of removing the top of the engine ( $1600 ) and might go up from there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( What a money pit!!)

Called GM ... nothing they feel responsible for ... cannot help me .... ( ie: tough s___!@)

Can't run or sell like it is, so I am forced to keep plugging the meter ... keep paying until I can drive this beautiful beast!!!

Anyone else have these problems?? email me .... jj_jaeger@yahoo.com

I think I'll go FORD from now on!!!! I miss my Oldsmobile. Never had so much trouble before ....
