I have had the same problem. Just driving down the road and lights go off. If I click the dimmer switch they come back on. Just had it in the shop and they believe the problem may lie in the dimmer switch. Hope that is all that it is. Has anyone who has had this problem been able to get it resolved?

My headlights keep going out. This has been happening for some time now. Have told the Chevy dealer about it and the response is that they will research it. I have experimented and find that this happen with the switch in and with the switch pulled out. The first time it happened it was pictch black out and it cause a real panic. I pulled off and pulled the switch on and off and it worked for awhile. Just this evening I had the switch pulled out and they went off after about 3 miles of driving. I pushed it in and they worked for about 5 minutes. I pulled the switch out again and was able to return home and as I was pulling in the driveway they went off. I did not touch anything, but sat in the driveway and waited to see what would happen. After about 1 minute they came on and then went off again. Came back on and went off. A flick of the high/low and they stayed on. I need some more info from anyone so that I can tell the dealer that this is a serious safety issue.

Thanks in advance

THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND GM NEEDS TO FIX IT IMMEDIATELY. I WAS DRIVING IN A RURAL AREA WITH NO STREET LIGHTS AND MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT TWICE IN ONE NIGHT. HAPPENED AGAIN TO MY SON ON A LONG STRETCH OF HIGHWAY. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!
