According to my obd scanner the components that are failed is the throttle body position sensor circuit A & the throttle body position sensor circuit B. Before this happened the check engine light was on for about a week, when I scanned the vehicle with the obd-II the code for a large leak in the fuel EVAP system came up. One day while driving the vehicle I was stopped at a red light and once the light turned green I pressed the gas and the car started to sputter and move very slow also in the driver information center it intermittently showed the warnings service traction control and speed reduced. I had to pull over when safe to do so. Once I got the vehicle home I ran the scan again and it came up with the throttle body position sensor codes. The part is available for inspection. The safety of me and my passenger were in jeopardy we could've definitely been in an accident because it was so sudden when it happened. I have not taken the car to a dealer but an independent mechanic has looked at it. Vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than me and an independent mechanic. This was a very scary experience and I have seen many forums with the same issues from GM cars. Your attention is needed and appreciated.

Sunroof exploded. Several years ago, I was driving on a sunny day, around 70 degrees. It was a 2-lane highway, and there were no vehicles nearby in either direction, no trees near the highway, and the roadway was clear. I was driving about 55-60 mph. There was a sudden loud cracking sound, and several seconds later a louder bang. I stopped and found the sunroof was in tiny pieces. Fortunately, the inside cover was closed, so the amount of glass coming into the car was fairly small. I no longer own this car. I'm not looking for any kind of help on this. I just recently became aware that this is a fairly common issue, and simply wanted to report it. The date below is a guess, might even be a year or two off.

I have had my car for almost a year now and ever since I bought it, it has caused nothing but an issue. I always get an "engine power reduced" or sometimes even "starting disabled service throttle." This can happen anywhere from 1-100 times a day while I am driving. It has happened on city streets, highways, turning, you name it and it has happened. It is becoming a very big safety issue as it will do it in the middle of intersections and I fear that I will get into an accident. I have ran the codes and replaced every part in the car that dealerships have told me to replace but it still keeps happening. I have done a ton of research on what could be wrong and it not only seems like this is happening to a lot of people but the things they replaced in their cars fixed the issue but mine seems to not ever be able to be fixed. This has become a dangerous thing, as it has happened to me in the middle of snow storms on icy highways.

The dash in my Impala cracked suddenly a few months ago. I didn't know it was an issue in Chevrolet vehicles until I saw a report. Also, my heater does not actually blow heat unless I am accelerating! it is such an inconvenience during this time of year B/C when it's cold outside & I have to slow down or stop at a red light or stop sign, the car gets cold inside! lastly, when the temperature is changed from hot to cold or if the fan is set to circulate over the entire car, it starts making a knocking noise for about 30-60 seconds. This has been an issue for a while.

Shortly after purchasing the vehicle I noticed that when opening the driver's side or any other doors dic (driver's info center) stays lit and radio stays on for 15 minutes. Was told it may be the BCM (body control module). Also checked vehicle's oil and all was fine then 2 weeks later check engine light comes on and dipstick shows no oil. No leaks anywhere on driveway nor under carriage. Steering wheel squeals when turning yet all fluids are topped off. Is this vehicle a lemon?

My car had been showing the service battery charging system for about two days. When I called southeast Kia of somerset, they tried to say it was the actually battery, keep in mind, I have only had this car for six weeks. I knew that it wasn't because I had been having no problems with my car whatsoever before this, and I was raised around mechanics and truck drivers, I do know a little about cars. When I turned the car off it would not start back up. I had the battery jumped three times and it died sitting there, we finally got it charged so that I could drive to my mothers, but had problems on the way there. As I was driving, all of my gauges completely stopped working in my car, and I thought the car had died and that I was coasting. So I pulled over to the side of the road, with my three children in the car, and realized the car was running. I shut the car off, but it kept running. Now, Kia is saying that if it's the alternator it's not covered under a two year warranty that I have, because they don't want to have to fix it basically. I have been severely ripped off, and now me and my children are without a car. I think it is ridiculous that car lots are able to send out terrible and unreliable cars to people without a second thought, and then don't want to fix things. Now I am trying to find a way to get a different car and leave this piece of junk on their lot, I will probably never buy a car again unless it only has about 20 miles on it and is brand new, and will definitely do more research on the type of car, along with the dealership selling it to me. And Kia has not heard the last of me as well.

The driver side sun visor will no longer stay up and falls down obstructing forward vision. I've gone on the internet and this is a somewhat common occurrence on the Impala. GM has no repair for it other than replacement. A new visor costs $125 plus installation. I think it should be a recall based on safety.

Bought the car new in May 2006 & have had the car in the shop 25X plus. The vehicle is E-85 however unless I want to have trouble with the vehicle I have not run that kind of fuel in the car. The trailing arm busted in half 4/09. I have contacted the better business bureau who said that because the problems prior to the trailing arm busting were not considered life threatening they could not consider the car a lemon. I have contacted GMC & bob brown Chevy in urbandale, ia regard the above issues. However all they want to do is patchup the problems instead of completely correcting the problem. I have documentation & parts to follow up with all of the above stated problems.

I'm a faithful customer of S&J since childhood and my mother purchased her vehicles there. Up to this point I thought I could trust your service department to do honest work on my 2006 Chevy Impala. Indeed this did not happen! my vehicle has returned about 8 times for same or similar problem. Fernado is a great customer attendant, but he does not work on my car, so what I feel is not directed towards him. Here is a list of chain of events that I have inquired since ownership of my "new-used" Chevy in Feb. 2007. I have a new Chevy Impala. Within a year of ownership, the car has been to the dealer 8 times for major repairs (none due to my own fault)!
