Very noisy front end components, it seems to be more noise at a slow speed. It rattles, roars, just very noisy. This is at slow speed going down a normal street.

Popping noise coming from front end of car. Noise occurs with acceleration, braking, shifting transmission or passing over speed bumps or rough roads. Generally occurs at lower speeds, less than 35mph, but occurs with higher speeds as well, although not as frequently. (possibly coming from sub-frame or sub-frame bolts?)

Swerved to miss a deer, ran off the road hit a light pole on passenger side, tore off front tier and suspension, car rolled a couple of times, blew out most of the windows, tore up the whole interior, slid into a guard rail and landed up right, and none of the air bags deployed! I broke my shoulder, collar bone and hand, the car had brand new tires.

While backing car started to jerk due to traction control problem caused distraction and I paused the car and looked at dash board and continued to back up hitting car in parking lot isle way- had the car repaired spent $ 900 on ABS traction control and front wheel bearings problem still exists and GM will not divulge what is causing the problem- car is not safe to drive- you cannot trust to pull out into traffic car stops when it should not.

Bought 2006 Impala lt used in June 2009 with 41,000 miles replaced the factory tires didn't like the way they rode. Started hearing a grinding noise that got louder with acceleration mechanic said all four tires were bad wearing on the inside. The tires only have 21,000 miles on them and most of my tires last me 40,000 minimum. Did some online research found numerous complaints about premature wear for tires on Chevy Impala. Looking at another $500 + for brand new tires if the place I bought them doesn't uphold the warranty which is for 50,000 miles/5 years. I really like this car but there a numerous problems major and minor GM needs to Focus more on quality.

Currently I have 29103 miles on it.I had took it in shop 2 times complaining about problem w/steering, and was told this was normal.I knew different.now the warranty ran out the passenger side tie rod end was completely worn out, and the drivers side is bad also.I've contacted cheverolet and they said to take it to dealer and pay of course for them to tell me a third time probably that this is normal.I am scared of this car, but have no choice except to drive it.I beleive this car slip thru factury inspections. As also rotors was turn at about 4000 miles and again at 26000 miles.

My 2006 Chevrolet Impala has nothing but issues. Window scratch when going up and down, tire pressure monitor needs replaced, remote start has no distance, water pump leakage, transmission line leaking, rotors, tires and alignment wear out prematurely.

Lt re her 2006 Chevy Impala lt having problems with a vibration and the car jumping on numerous occasions leading to replacement of tires; would like to know if NHTSA knows anything about problems with tires. The tires were replaced with another brand of tires, because one of the tires had excessive road force. However, the vibration continued.
