This is the third time our vehicle has has this problem. Not sure exactly what it is, but it was initially taken to Pepboys on 3101 W Allegheny Ave. and they have the worst service ever. They told us the first time the problem was the starter, pepboys kept the car for 2 days, they replaced the starter and the same day my husband went to pick the vehicle up from the parking lot at Pepboys the car didn't start. The car was left for another 2 days. One week later I took the vehicle to work and once my shift was over the car didn't start I had to wait for roadside assistance 2 hrs after my shift was over. The car was towed to the same Pepboys which they said this time it was the wires that connected to the battery. They kept the vehicle for 2 more days. 2 weeks later which is today, I finished my shift and went to go home and my car didn't start again! I am waiting on roadside assistance as I type this complaint, 2hrs again after my shift has ended. I am informing everyone about this Pepboys, please don't attempt to take your car to this location. They are very unprofessional that do not specialize in customer service!

Basically,
Most of the time my car would start. The first time it did not start, I had someone jump it and that did not help. So I had it towed, but the car was starting when the tow man came. Second time it happened, I had someone jump it and it started right up (maybe this was the only time it was actually a dead battery). Third time, I had two different people try to jump it, but it did not start the car. So I had it towed a second time, this time to O'Reiley's for a new battery. Once he replaced the battery, it started right up. Well, I thought it was fixed, but it happened again. Tried jumping it again, but had to have it towed; again. Once the car arrived to the shop, it started right up. So, I drove it home until the problem happened again, then I had it towed again! And when the car arrived, it started right up! Therefore, my car has not been diagnosed and therefore has not been fixed.

I have a 2007 chevy Impala I tried starting the car and it would not turn over. I thought the battery was dead and charged it only to find out it was okay. I went on line to research the problem and found that GM has had a problem with there passlock security systems for the past 10 years at least, if not longer. There is a bypass module you can buy for any chevy impala made before 2007. What I found out about the 2007 and later models is they changed the wiring so it cannot be bypassed you have to take it to the dealer to have it repaired. Sounds like GM knows what its doing to make more money on a failing passlock security system. Instead of fixing the problem they fix it so you can't. I think its time to have a class action law suit and fix GM.

When I try to start my car, a yellow car with a padlock comes on and the theft deterrent display comes on, and car will not start until after 15 minutes at a time.
