This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
The failure of the tire pressure sensors to work happened shortly after I purchased this car and upon going back to the dealer which I purchased it from as it was used there was no warranty. They could not reset same as they said they didn't have the proper equipment. Went to my regular garage and they said they could not get any readings to reset the sensors as the batteries were probably worn out. The cost to replace same was more than $400.00 dollars which I could not afford. I now check my tire pressures manually and regularly. This I do not feel is a safe design and is very annoying as even though I check the tire pressures regularly the warning light to service same stays on constantly. Why would you engineer something so very expensive to replace ? Now with additional recalls happening I can't help but wonder what may fail next. Your answer to correction to recall problems seems to be the cheapest way out while the problems I encounter are so very expensive.I wonder if my complaint will be noted and I am sure I probably won't hear from you to correct it, but do wonder how many other's have encountered this problem. I do like this car very much and try to keep it in top working order so this problem with the sensor's bother's me as vehicles of other makes do not have similar problems. Any help with this matter would be most appreciated.

I have had the tire pressure switches in my wheels replaced 4 times under warranty. It always goes bad, right now i'm out of warranty and I have another bad sensor. Cannot have the dealer remove due to government regulations. Will have them all removed when I have tires changed next time. Put a piece of black tape over the light on the dash or remove the lamp. Worthless system, Chevy should be ashamed of not completely replacing this forever ongoing problem. Oh wait, GM, Government Motors.

TPMS Light went on even though all pressures were up. Dealer replaced the sensor under extended warranty.

Second time it happened! And now a third is out! The technology isn't there (at least not in Detroit).

Heat, odometer and keyless entry on car stopped working simultaneously today after tire pressure sensor went while riding on a donut to get off the highway. Didn't the manufacturers think it might be a good idea for the pressure sensor to go off while riding on a temporary instead of having it flash until error? They really care!!! Not sure which way is up or down. So tired of paying notes on trash cars! And my car also has the skunky smell.

One year old 2007 Chevrolet Impala, well it wasn't even a year old when the sensor went out. I bought the car in December 2007, the sensor went out within a week, the dealership upon their 30 day warranty replaced the sensor, ok everything is great....well in about March 2008 another sensor went out on another tire.....WTF? This is a brand new barely used car.......the windows squeak, the heater won't stay hot if the car is not physically moving and the RPMs are over 2,000.......the damn thing just has a lot of issues for being barely used....almost new....whats going to happen to it at 5 years? I have a six year loan, am I going to be carless before the loan is even up? WHAT H APPENDED TO THE GOOD OL' DAYS? What happened to taking pride in what you made and making sure it works before you sell it? WTF is going on?

My tire pressure warning light came on after I bought the car used from a dealer. He tried 3 times to fix it and finally got the warning light to go out. That lasted for about 2 years. The past three years the light comes on and goes out about 1 in 5 times I drive the car and is really annoying.
