Impala LT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I bought this car 3 years ago, it only has 108,00 miles, and the transmission needs to be fixed. They charging $2,000 dollars to fix it and I don't have the money, because I'm still making my payments, need 2 more years to be done.

problem #1

Dec 052009

Impala SS V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

My problem is, coming to a stop, the car will not down shift. When I step on the gas, it will drop into gear at a high RPM, which is what destroyed my first torque converter. After numerous times to the dealer, never having the problem duplicated by their mechanics, and after putting a new torque converter and valve body in, problem is still on going, and they can't duplicate it with their mechanics, because it is sporadic. Meanwhile I still have the problem and 1,000 miles left on my warranty.
