When changing the temperature in the Impala, it always has a loud, annoying clacking sound in the dash that last for us to 2 minutes even if the vehicle is turned off. I was told it was an adapter and that there were four and could cost from 300.00 to 1,200. It can be heard up to 50 years away from the vehicle. When I had an oil change, the Jiffy Lube stated there was a recall, but a Gm dealership said there was not. Anyone else having this problem? only have 65,000 miles on it. Also has developed an oil leak. Should not have these problems with this low mileage. Had a message appear on dash to service air bags and autotrack system???? D. Raymond

After researching the problem I see that this is a problem that happens almost more often than that. Why isn't Chevy instituting a recall so that this problem can be fixed. My car is wonderful and if it weren't for this actuator problem I would be overjoyed. My cell phone is 765-969-4159 and I can be reached anytime. Please contact me and let me know if there is anything you can do about the problem. I have watched some do it yourself problems and am not mechanically inclined so it's best to leave this to the professional.
Thanks again, Matthew Cummings

Both actuators are making a popping noise. It goes on for about 45 seconds, then stops.
