Couldn't shift out of park! Thank God I have a mechanic in my family, who was able to remove the center console and plug the wire back into the gear shift, but had to order a special piece to keep it in place. Cost was $0. I couldn't imagine what it would've been if I didn't have my brother in law.

Luckily I am able to keep two cars or else I would not be able to get to work since the car runs fine but I cannot get the car out of Park to drive it. I start the car up but cannot shift into gear. Really frustrating since never got any warning. Just woke up one morning to go to work and I could not go anywhere.

Car is stuck in the park position. Can only use car after starting engine with emergency brake on and manually using screw driver to push button so I can place car in reverse or drive.

very pissed the part is 250.00 to 300.00 to have fixed and I heard this has happened to a few of these cars there should be a recall on it so the dealer can fix it.

This is the second time the car would not shift out of park. The dealer claimed I must have spilled a drink into the shifter (I did not). Now it has happened a second time in lees than a year. I did not spill any thing.
