Impala LS 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 260,000 miles

IT HAS A CODE PO 172 RUNNING RICH AND NOT ENOUGH AIR. NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHAT. PUT ALOT OF NEW PARTS ON IT. BUT NONE OF THEM SOLVED THE PROBLEM. NEW PARTS WERE MAF, BODY THROTTLE SENSOR, SPARK PLUG WIRES. EVAP SENSOR, AIR FILTER, GAS CAP. ALL I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. GOT SOUNDS THAT SHOULD NOT BE THERE. IT WILL COST $100 TO $150 TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP JUST TO PUT IT ON THEIR MACHINE, AND MAYBE EVEN A SMOKE TEST. THERE HAS TO BE A VACUUM LEAK SOME WHERES BUT WHERE.

Impala LT 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

My daughter and I each have a 2008 Chevy Impala. Bother of our engine lights go on and stay on. When we had it diagnosed, it referred to the fuel area, so we replaced the gas caps as they suggested. The light went off at first and then came back.
