Yes, the pedal sensor probably is the problem but how do you change it? Someone said that you have to buy the whole pedal mechanism. Is this correct or can the sensor just be changed?

Message on DIC indicates the pedal sensor failed prematurely causing gas usage/mileage to suffer terribly. The cost in fuel has been dear. Why hasn't this become a recall item?

I bought this used car in 2012. In 2013 not even a year later the shifter freezes and doesn't move so I am left stranded. cost me $500 to fix. In 2014 the shifter goes out again. Again another $500. In 2014 I received a recall for the key/ignition had to be replaced. Chevrolet was kind enough to fix..they just changed the key. Now again 2015 and the shifter is getting ready to go out again.
My mechanic stated something the shifter box, whatever its called, gets HOT and that causes the wires to get hot and they break. This has cost me enough money already. I believe Chevrolet the Manufacturer should take this car back and either fix it free of charge or replace it with another car. I feel like I have a LEMON on my hands. Now I have pop ups on the screen where the mileage shows saying Service traction, Service Brakes and Low Power.
Please, I need someone to hear me and give me a resolution. I pray to God I don't have an accident behind these problems. I have contacted Bunnin they are the Dealership I bought the car from and they told me I should get in touch with the Manufacturer. HELP.
