Impala LT 3.2L V6

I have always driven GM cars. I bought my Impala in 2009. This past year, and it has less than 100,000 miles, it is consuming a lot of oil. Every 1000 miles it requires me to add a quart of oil. I only use synthetic oil. The dealer says it is normal but I still have my 2001 Chevy Blazer and do not have this problem.

I have never had a vehicle that uses one quart of oil about every 3,000 miles. Is this normal??
