I notified GMC of the trouble with the Impala. Nothing was ever done. They said that it was my ABS on left and right tires. Not covered under recall.

Impala LS V6

Just ready to inspect my car and my check engine light comes on. My traction control and anti lock have been on since warranty expired. Driving to shop to clear codes and order new solenoid with I need every other year when my car reads Engine power reduced code. So it goes slow and jerks its way to shop. Found out I need a new throttle position sensor also. Ready to trade this one in and call it quits on Chevy`s. Rear defroster is not working and no one can find out why on this one. Great not being able to see out my back window in the middle of winter.

Impala LT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

I contacted GM and had a case opened due to having this car in for a variety of issues, mostly sensors going out for traction, gas cap and many more, I have been locked in the car at the dealers service bay. My cable for the gear shift broke and I had to disconnect the battery to shut the car off, Dealer has replaced stabilizer bars, lower bearings, steering column due to unusual noise but it still makes that noise. The ignition has been replaced. My windshield wipers stopped working and the wiper motor was replaced. Both front window motors have been replaced due to the windows going up so slow but it didn't correct it. The air bag sensor for both the driver side and the passenger side had to be replaced at separate times. I was told by the dealer your air bag might not go off if in an accident until the part comes in.

There is so much more. GM would not due anything and was actually very rude to me. They asked me what I wanted them to do and I told them I didn't want the car and they should buy it back, that it was a piece of sh*t!!!. Really, why should I tell GM what I want done. GM should have offered to buy the car back but they would not do anything for me. I drive on a specific road and the car vibrates so bad you think the tires are going to come off, everyone says it is the road. Funny I had a 2002 Impala and that car never did these things. It is just a weird car and a lemon. I now have about 80,000 miles on it and still hate the car. I actually do not feel I am safe or comfortable driving this car. It drives like you are drunk.. I can't seem to keep this car in the middle of the lane since day one when driving down the road. I told the dealer how disappointed I was with the car right after buying it and they were able to get me an extended warranty to 78,000 miles but they too screwed up my brakes. I had to take it back twice due to a bad brake job they did it but they never did fix it the right way.

It is out of warranty now and I will never go back to this dealer again nor will I buy a GM product since they are aware of all these issues and are not willing to stand behind their product. We have four vehicles right now in our household and all are foreign except for mine and no one has any issues but me!!! GM can kiss my ass and never ever again will I buy a "GM" product. I was a loyal GM customer for the last 30 years and now I am not. Thanks for nothing GM. The jerk that I dealt with from GM can also kiss my ass for being so rude with my complaints. Maybe I should file a lawsuit too with GM. Does it really go anywhere once you start a lawsuit with them? I could go on and on about this pc. of sh*t car but enough said.
