Multiple throttle body failures, first one was replaced by GM at 33K miles last until about 70K since 2017 had to replace 3 more times all new parts being under warranty. On 4th throttle body now, usually happens when car is in normal city driving...

While driving 60 mph, go a service stabilatrak, reduced engine power, then engine turned itself off. Fortunately, I was on a straight road as power steering and brakes did not work. After rolling to a stop, I put it in park and tried to restart. Nothing! no clicking at all. After 5 minutes and multiple attempts, car started and drove normally"?" car only has 36,000 miles on it.

July 2015, "service stabitrac, losing power" lights came on. Took to local dealer and spent $600 for repairs. September 2015, same problems, took for repairs - no charge. Less than 2 days later the error code is back. Dealer has no clue on problem remedy. When the lights come on, acceleration is affected.

My son while driving highway speeds 60-70mph, the car display would say "reduced power" followed by "service stabillatrac", "service traction control". shutting car down at highway speeds. Shut car off for 5-10 minutes and would B fine for a week, a month, six months!!! this has been going on intermittently for over a year!! car not under warranty and cannot afford to take to dealer every time it happens, needless to say no one drives it but me. Have not taking to dealer because research online and nothing seems to be a sure fix!! other people are replacing throttlebody, S, gas pedals, gas caps, ABS sensors, various wiring harnesses, batteries, grounds, computers without any of them being a sure fix. Someone will or may have already been killed by this malfunction and unfortunately did not live to say the car did this!!!! I know from reading online forums and the such that this seems to be a very common occurance on multiple years of this model!! all of this on top of a $2 key switch fix that took how many to die before anything was done!!!

While driving my car started hesitating. The wheel traction and engine light came on, it had three messages come up stating engine losing power, traction stability needed I can't recall the last messages. It comes and goes on and off.

Driving 2011 Chevy Impala in city traffic. Service stabilitrak, service traction control, reduced engine power warning messages received. This has happened several times at intermittent intervals in the two years I have owned the vehicle. In some instances, the engine shuts off and all power steering and power braking is lost making it very difficult to control the vehicle. After research, this is a problem that GM needs to address. I have found that if I pull over when the warning messages display, shut the car off, wait approx 10 min, the car will start again, the messages will be gone, and the car will drive normally. The check engine light remains on and then goes off within a day or two.

While driving home from work one evening the gas pedal seemed to have a mind of its own. As I removed my foot from the gas and when to apply the brake the gas pedal did not come back up and was stuck in position. This has subsequently happened on 2 other occasions as well. My 2011 Chevrolet Impala is 3 years and 6 weeks old. As my local Chevy dealer (Chevrolet of homewood il) has informed me my throttle sensor is sticking causing the gas petal to stay down. Common sense would tell anyone this is not a good thing. I was informed that because my warranty expired 6 weeks ago that the $500. Repair to replace a sensor is my responsibility. Now I understand the warranty expiring. However, a sensor on the throttle is a part I believe should not go bad after only 40000 miles. How many potential accidents are waiting to happen because of a problem like this. This is my wife's car and she experienced the gas pedal sticking in the down position on at least 3 occasions. Luckily she was not in a dangerous situation when it happened. This is something I feel should be brought to the attention of GM Corp. Thank you for a forum to let someone know and hopefully something can be done before someone gets seriously hurt.

Cranked up the car to go home. Stability light and "engine" light was on. While on the interstate passing a truck the engine died. Display center indicated service stability track and reduced engine power. Coasted over to rt. Shoulder. Car would not restart for about 30 sec. Cranked it up and made it home. Trouble code is P2138 which seems to indicate the throttle position sensor D/E voltage. Will take to dealer in am.

Fuel tank shifts when taking off.I believe this could cause the tank to leak and could cause a fire. I believe this vehicle should be put on the recall list..iwas told by GM that there was nothing the could do about it.

Vehicle displays "reduced power" "service stabilitrak system". I replaced the throttle position switch (tps) and it has came back again. Service light is on and reads P2138, tps. On hundreds of forums people are complaining of this same problem, shouldn't this be recalled? also I even cleaned the throttle motor and position sensor under the hood, it seemed to help for a little while.

Fuel shift around in bracket.I am afraid a hole will develop and could leak fuel and cause a fire I believe the factory should be responsible for the repair.I was told by General Motors that it was nothing they could or would do.

The check engine light came on (and had gone out) previously. Dash said "service stabilitrac, engine power reduced" and a mechanic said it was a "sensor in the gas pedal" and that if it kept happening we should replace it. I didn't fully realize that this meant that the throttle would disable itself while I was driving in morning rush hour traffic on the highway in the left hand lane going up a hill doing 60 mph. There was traffic behind me and in other lane so I had to pull into the center shoulder overtop of 5 inches of snow and ice. It was a struggle not to hit the guardrail. There was barely enough room. I just made it over the yellow line. It was 20 degrees and then had to wait an hour for a tow truck. The car did start and drive at the garage. This mechanic replaced the acceleration pedal assembly. The error was code P2122. He also stated that he could smell burning wires. I had smelled it but didn't realize what it was.

The check stabililink / reduced engine power light came on at start. After shutting the vehicle down and restarting the light went off. I was traveling on the highway when the reduced engine power light came on. I pulled over, restarted the car and it was fine. After stopping and restarting several more times, the engine light remains on and the check. The stabilizing warning continues. The car is completely unreliable at this time. Since this occurred over easter, there are no mechanics available, leaving me with no car and cancelled appointments and lost wages to start the week.

While driving on city beltway, I was changing lanes at 50 -55mph when my car experience shudder and the messages that came on screen was engine reducing power, check stability control, check traction control lights flash and what appeared to be rough idling. The next incident happen off and on for several days. The last known was 1/3/2013 630am and 115pm I would have to sshut down and restart until the message disappears. The thing that really shook me up was when I was merging onto the highway in the morning around 6:45am there was a semi and other vehicles behind me so I attempted to merge at about 30-50 when the messages appeared and the semi was practically on my tail. My heart jumped out my chest but I remained calmed and luckily there was a median strip ahead. I ask myself situation could have gone wrong and caused a major accident or gotten killed from being rammed from behind all because I could'nt accelerate.I have a small video to back this up. I took it to the dealer and they said that there was no recall notice and that they would need to get the code and charge me $129 for diagnostic. This is clearly a safety issue and who knows how many was killed behind this.
