Impala LTZ

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles

I took it to 2 dealers, both test drove it and said there was no problem. Yet, it still continues off and on.

Impala LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

My Pontiac Grand Am with 200,000 miles finally was going out. I got this Chevy with 65000 miles on it used through a local dealer financing it. This has got to be the worst car I've ever had. The car doesn't even have 100,000 miles on it and its a piece of trash. Whenever I try to accelerate after coming to a complete stop at a stop sign or stoplight it jumps forward. It feels like whiplash it's embarrassing and startles you and don't even get me started on what a shock it is to the passengers.

I've taken the car to multiple different mechanic shops don't know how much time and money I've wasted just to be told keep driving it until it shows a check engine light or code. Guess what I've had it almost a year it still has no check engine light. This car has literally stressed me out so much to the point where I don't want to drive anywhere. I was probably better off getting a bus pass. I will never own another Chevy again.

Impala

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,600 miles

My nephew,my cousin, had transmission problems with their impalas which were newer models than mine. I think there is something generically wrong with the transmissions in these impala models. I cannot afford to have a transmission fixed or replaced-and i will not pass a lemon off to some other unknowing person. this is the 3rd time this has happened-i just found out about this complaint process. it is not fair-and i suspect chevy knows about the problem.

I don't want to get ripped off when I bring it to the shop. Would like to know if I am heading towards a new transmission. I sure hope not. Any suggestions appreciated.

Impala LT 3.2lV6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles

2011 Impala first started jerking when reverse to drive. Now it does it when starting from a stop sign. Appears to be getting worse. Took to Chevy garage and they could not find any problems. They did waive the $110 diagnostic fee, if I let then drop the pan and change the fluid and filters in the transmission for $226.

Impala LT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 35,000 miles

After sitting at a stop light, sometimes the transmission has a very hard jerk upon starting. It is as if a pump lost its prime and suddenly regained it. It does not happen regularly, only sometimes, but it is very hard.
