Impala LT V6

  • Automatic transmission

I purchased my 2014 Chevy Impala in 2015. I had problems with my navigation system from day one. I had it serviced several times and nothing seems to help. The navigation map is off by 2 hours. Dont matter what my destination is the map is off by 2hours. So in June or July I had spoke to a new manager at the dealership he assured me that he would make sure that it is repaired. They stated that they gave me the newest update.

Now it is February and i have a BLACK SCREEN. Everything works in the car except the fact that I have visual. I went online and several GM cars are having the same issue. I tried everything that some people tried that resolved the problem but it is not working. I called my dealership and the service person told me that he has a 2016 that is having the same problem. It is a computer problem and the car need to be reboot. Well, he stated that he can look at it for $135 because I am outside of my warranty.

When I called and spoke with April at GM she was so kind to tell me that I would have to pay for the diagnostic but they would try to discount the repair cost I explained to her that I have had a problem with my infotainment system from day one. She stated that the BLACK SCREEN is on other cars not me year and make. It don't make sense. They should have replaced my radio way back then. Now, I have to see what the dealership will do? I am so mad because GM is aware of the problem but is doing nothing to take care of it.

On July 9, 2015 driving into work my radio stopped working. Home screen was stuck on a station but would not play. At a light I turned car off and back on, radio still would not work. I turned around and went back home afraid it was an electrical problem didn't not want to get stuck at work. 30 min later went out to the car and the radio started. Took car to dealership which they reprogrammed. Car had 21,871 miles

Today it happened again, but a little different. I received a phone call, ended the phone call. went inside a store 10 min. later got back in the car and the radio would not turn on. Screen was blacked out. Returned home waiting 30 min. and the radio started working again.

There are many times we well that if I have my ipod playing and a phone call comes in. I have to go through the radio menu back to ipod for the music to play again.

Anyone else having these problems?

Impala LTZ V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 400 miles

The radio, MY link system has issues ending a phone call and doing the following: All are random when they happen as well.

No sound will come from the radio when a bluetooth phone call ends. I must turn the radio off to get sound back.

When I end a call instead of going back to the previous station or music service I was listening to it will switch to a different station or go to XM radio.

Phone calls get locked on the display as if still connected after they have been ended.

Display has gone black along with dash.

Info pages will reset themselves randomly.

When taken in for service the dealer said no codes appeared and nothing was wrong, however the problems continued immediately after I left. The car is going back in for service again.
