Took my vehicle in for its regular oil change. A few days later, the car started driving funny. I notice that when I went to accelerate that the vehicle started shaking. After it happened a few more times within that same week, my check engine light came on. I decided to take it back to the Chevy dealership where I had the oil change, not before calling the service dept. Several time in the week to voice my concerns. I was told to bring the vehicle in and have them check my oil level to make sure all was well. I told them what I was experiencing and that the check engine light was on and asked could they re-check my oil level. The service advisor checked and said that the oil was fine. She then suggested that I pay $112.48 dollars for a diagnostic test, because that would be the only way to determine why the check engine light was on. I did! only for them to tell me that it was P2645 intake rocker arm control circuit solenoid. Then she game me a quote of $407.35 to fix the problem. I was then informed that I had to pay for the part upfront before anything could be done and on top of that, this part was on back-order and that it would take weeks to fill the order. I need to use my vehicle to get around and this was not safe to drive! this was over 2 months ago. I then turned to the internet to do my research only to find out that is a faulty part from the GM manufacture. And GM was not willing to replace the part even after they place this part in my vehicle knowingly that this was a defected part and that down the road it would be faulty, not only in my 2014 but the 2015 Chevy Impala's and the Chevy Malibu. This is not right and GM need to correct the problem. I am paying for a car for the last 2 months that I cant even drive! shameful GM!

My car has been stalling on occasional incidents for the past 3 years, I have brought it up to my Chevrolet dealer and they say nothing is wrong, but on Friday January 17, 2020 I was driving down the fwy at 65 miles an hour and my cars speed gauge dropped to 1 and my speed began to decrease, I had to act quickly, as I was on the fast lane, I stepped harder on the gas and after like 5 sec. My speed and gauge began to increase. I also had an incident with my car on Feb. 21, 2020 as I going to park at my college, I began to turn left and my cars engine completely turned off, my car lights and radio were on the battery voltage was at 14.9, but my car no longer wanted to start. I tried numerous times to turn it on after the 8th time I gave up because I got the smell of gas, my car had 3/4 of gas so I new that was not the issue. I had to call triple a to get my car towed and I was I formed that my car turned on with no issue when they delivered it home. This past few weeks my car has been stalling but not to that degree, I will be taking it back to my dealer to see if the can find anything, but I'm very worried with these issues.

Stabilitrack has been messing up since I purchased this vehicle in October 2018. My car is scary to drive. Sometimes its not clear what gear I'm in. The car will not go over 5 miles per hour when the stabilitrack is messing up. The backup camera does not work when the stabilitrack light is on and sometimes it will not go in reverse. I have to wait and keep turning the car off then wait then try to start it. Stabilitrack needs a recall. I could not back out of my parking spot this morning because of the stabilitrack. It feels like the whole motor moved when I tried to reverse. There were no lights on the panel to know what gear I was in but it wad clear it skipped the reverse. When it finaly let me back up after turning the car on and off several times I could only eccelerate 3 miles per hour.

Yes, I hope this does not continue. There is a photo of it on google pictures.

2014 Chevy Impala - 50,000 miles - the vehicle will lose power when trying to accelerate. It will suddenly regain power and the engine will surge. On 8/20/18 I can to a stop at a stop sign in a residential neighborhood. I pressed the accelerator, but the car did not respond and almost stalled. I did not realize how far I was pressing the accelerator, and when the car regained power the front tires squealed from the resulting burnout. Luckily, I didn't run anyone over from taking off like this. A mother was with her child on the sidewalk and was not pleased with the way I was driving in an area where kids play. This car has had one problem after the other. I discovered a GM service bulletin pip5507B - "in ambient temperatures 100F or higher, vehicle may exhibit a hesitation or stalling condition - customers can be advised to utilize fuels with octane 91 or higher, refrain from idling, and only park vehicle in a covered garage. As long as you don't use this vehicle, you're fine. I can't believe this is a known safety issue and no recall. I guess someone has to be killed, first.

Traveling at approximately 65 mph with cruise control engaged, I pressed the acc button to increase speed. I released the button when I reached the desired speed (72 mph) and the vehicle continued to accelerate. The pace of the acceleration was much faster than normal use of this feature. (it felt as if the accelerator was floored). The speed increased to between 85 and 90 mph before I could react. I turned the cruise off and immediately the speed began to decrease. This occurred on an interstate that was fairly flat.

Fuel pump has been replaced twice. 1st time on Nov 28,2014(12,314 miles) and then again on Dec 28,2015(30,311 miles). The engine light came on 12/04/15(29,448 miles) and the denton, tx dealership service dept was closed since it was a Saturday afternoon.however we were advised that the car was safe to drive home. Light went off the next day and the waco, tx dealership could not duplicate the issue on December 21,2015 (29,848). Engine light came back on December 26,2015. Same issue as before. Also note the fuel pressure sensor was replaced on June 06,2015 (21,408 miles). This vehicle has been in & out of the dealership numerous times but issue cannot be duplicated unless the check engine light is on. No codes displaying. It seems that the fuel system is faulty and the vehicle will need a new fuel pump or sensor every 12,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. While driving at various speeds, the brake pedal was applied and the vehicle vibrated violently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the type of fuel needed to be switched to regular. The fuel was switched, but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 800. Updated 03/31/15
