With no particular trigger, my sensors started to fail one by one. Then, my radio touch display went out. Now, my car will randomly shutdown while driving, go into theft mode, or have the entire dash system malfunction, leaving me with little to no functionality other than steering. A detailed thread of the issue and others having these issues can be found in the following forums. www.impalaforums.com/Chevy-Impala-9th-gen-discussion/1585778-bad-BCM.html www.impalaforums.com/audio-video-and-electronics/1798162-mylink-touch-display-shut-off-after-hitting-pot-hole.html

I have had my 2015 Impala at dealership twice for my airbag sensor on passenger seat and have paid money out of my pocket for this repair. This year and model car had a recall on airbags but the dealership said even though it is not a wear and tear item but a safety one I still had to pay out of my pocket. With this year having issues with airbag and this being the seat sensor I believe this safety issue should be covered, my tcn number is ain16-53807

Takata recall. I was driving down a county road, I sneezed and hit my face on the steering wheel and hit a tree at 40 mph. My air bags did not deploy at 40mph in a frontal crash. It totaled the car. Bent the frame and frame around the motor. My passenger was hurt worse than me. Why didn't my air bags deploy?

Letter from congressman perry on behalf of constituent re 2015 Chevy Impala airbag defect. The consumer stated the front passenger seat air bag sensor would not turn on unless a person of adequate weight was sitting in the seat without any cushion. The consumer's wife had to sit on a cushion, in order to see out of the vehicle and to properly position her body in the front passenger seat. The consumer would like to have the passenger seat sensor deactivated.
