I continuously have water leaking into the trunk of my 2017 Chevrolet Impala, specifically the spare tire compartment. I noticed through research that the issue has been recalled for select years, but not my vehicle year. If the issue is a known defect, this should be covered by the vehicle manufacturer. I am constantly having large amounts of water after rain and it is causing a moldy smell. I try to scoop water and then dry the area, however this is a repeat issue.

Evaporator Core failed. My safety isn't at risk although I get very hot riding in the car without AC. It was confirmed by a dealer. It has not been inspected by police or anyone else other than a dealer. No warning lamps or messages. My 2017 Chevrolet Impala has been without Air Conditioning since approximately June 2020. I took it to a local Chevrolet dealer and they diagnosed it stating the Evaporator core had failed. After doing research online, I found a Special Coverage Adjustment N182186881 on nhtsa.gov stating that on some 2016-2018 model-year cars, the evaporator core may become damaged and the customer is eligible for it to be replaced at no charge. I never received this paper in the mail saying mine was affected but mine was affected. Due to me having no copy of this, no dealer will fix it free of charge. I am not just looking for a free repair, I am looking for it to be repaired for free specifically due to the fact it has been affected. There is less than 72,000 miles on my vehicle.

The exhaust manifold cracked, took to shop to see if can weld and was told it is connected to the Cadillac converter. This was putting MAJOY exhaust fumes into car. making myself and children sick. at the shop they said this is VERY COMMON and he is not sure WHY no recall has been placed on this and why they wont fix. In the process of saving to get this fix the car rode rough, stalled, exhaust fumes and sensor's went. I replaced and I am now HAVING this issue AGAIN. Chevrolet needs to get this fixed and a recall should be done. Had this car just for a year and I SWEAR once warrenty went EVERYTHING this

Mechanic confirmed Evaporator Core leak, which is leaking Freon faster than can be put in. Leaking Freon is a safety concern, as well as the resultant lack of Air Conditioning. The car becomes very hot inside, and the Air Conditioning does not blow any cold air, creating potential for overheating, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, etc. in addition to general discomfort.

Evaporator core failure; GM issued a bulletin regarding this repair but my 2017 Impala that meets all other criteria for some reason "is not covered" by this; the evaporator core was confirmed to be faulty by a non-dealer mechanic; this released refrigerant into my garage; the bulletin in reference is N182186881; I phoned GM regarding this bulletin and they advised me to file this complaint here

Found leaking bright green substance on driveway. AC disabled/blowing air with no cooling affect. After trying to reach Donovan at an 800 number referenced in other complaints that number is now associated with 3M disability program. This is very much a health issue and should be a national recall. The evaporator core must be replaced at no cost to the vehicle owner as this is a known defective part. Freon is dangerous to breathe.

Air condition quit blowing cold air. Took it to the place where I bought the vehicle. They performed a dye test and found that dye was coming from ac drain from fire wall. Verified refrigerant leaking from evaporator. Judging from other complaints on here, I believe that the repairs should be fully paid for.

The air conditioning evaporator is leaking under normal use. I was told my VIN number is not included with a special GM coverage adjustment N182186881. My car has the same problem as the special coverage adjustment. I did take the car to a dealer who installed a dye and recharged the system to determine where the A/C leak is.

I noticed the car's (2017 Chevrolet Impala) A/C was blowing hot air while stationary and in motion. I took it in for an A/C check. Per the Chevrolet dealership's service advisor, there is an evaporator core leak into dashboard. GM has released two special overage bulletins (N182186880 & N182186881) identifying the issue and the year, make, and model (2016-2018 Impala 3.6). Also, per this bulletin, it stated it identified the vins this impacted, but I have the same issue and car. It does not state why some Impala were not selected. But different forums on the internet, show there are more Impala and their owners who have this same issue. See https://www.impalaforums.com/threads/evaporator-replacement.1841471/. due to volume of other complaints, I believe this should be a national recall. This is a safety issue especially during the summer months.

Evaporator core for air conditioning leaking. It was confirmed at a Chevy dealership. Dealership quoted an estimated repair price. I decided to go with another repair shop. The third party repair shop made me aware of a special bulletin on my vehicle(N182186881). The Chevy dealership states they do not know of any special bulletin or recall. There they will not make the repair at Chevy's cost.
