I am reporting this to let you know that attempts to get information from GM or its local dealers has fallen upon deaf ears! the company line if you in the recall, you will be notified in writing! if my car crashes today, that won't do me much good. The ABS brakes on this van have never worked properly. Stopping distances are very long! I have always suspected but have always been told the brakes are fine. I was told the same today. I am going back to the dealer tomorrow and they claim, I will have to pay for this repair, since I don't have a notice of recall. My life, my family's lives are worth that to me. Unfortunately, I can't buy a new car! thank you for your recent E-mail. We apologize for any frustration. Your vehicle may be involved

1- every time the weather is wet and cold, all 4 doors freeze shut. This is due to the design of the body. The doors allow water to collect all around the top and vertical sides and the water freezes...locking me out of the car. Neither the dealer nor mfg have a solution. 2- brakes: Every time the weather is wet, or even with high humidity the brakes squeal and grab which initiates the ABS system which in turn brings the car to a "jerky motion" stopping situation. Neither the dealer nor the mfg have a solution....and even more frustrating to me...neither the dealer nor the mfg seem to "give a damn".
