There is a recall listed on this website but the manufactuar says there isn't one? my car is doing the exact thing the recall says on this page.

While driving at highway speeds, the vehicle will start to slow down while the gas pedal position is still the same, then speed back up, a few times the engine has died completely but has started right back up, a mechanic thinks it may be related to the gas tank and it's associated components, it could also possibly be related to the throttle linkages and control, consumer hears a cracking sound from the rear of the vehicle when the fuel tank is full.
