About These NHTSA Complaints:

The consumer stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of power on numerous occasions while going uphill or passing. The vehicle was taken to a shop and the fuel filter was replaced-this didn't remedy the problem. During a 600 mile trip, the consumer heard a high pitched noise coming from the left rear underside. This only happened when the engine was running. It had become apparent to the consumer that the problem could be from the fuel pump or filter sock. The gas tank was checked for dirty gas, but the fuel tank liquid was clean. The fuel pump/filter was replaced and remedied the problem, upon inspection of the fuel pump the consumer noticed that the pump had a label affixed to it's side, the label had partially melted and the residue had run into the filter sock which probably caused the loss of power.
