Lumina 3.1L Litre

If anyone has had trouble with the check engine light for transmission slippage on any GMC transverse front wheel drive transmission, please advise. I am taking the vehicle to the dealer for the recommended 85,000 km first fluid/filter change next week, and would like to isolate the trouble source first.

Transmission appears to be running smoothly - but I do get the check lights...
