Malibu LS 3.1L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 159,000 miles

I bought the car used from a lot in S.L.C. Ut. with 98,000 for my 16 year old son. Car ran no problems until the coolant surge tank cracked we changed the tank then started haveing overheating problems. Changed thermostat, tempature sensor, surge tank cap and bleeder valve. Tried everything book suggest to bleed system down, car and temp runs fine while idleing try going down the highway and temperture gauge rises and falls coolant level drops pull over check and steam is coming out of cap. Check oil and no water in oil or no water is being released thru exhaust, this f*cking car is driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!

I really love my car. Had I known it will be this much of an issue never would of purchased it. I just replaced my intake and the needle is still reading high. I mean I don't know what else I have to do to drive my car 4 months straight without an issue. The bad thing about this is if you go to a mechanic they say, oh normal GM problem.
