The contact discovered NHTSA campaign id number 03V327000 (03043) (exterior lighting:hazard flashing warning lights:switch) for this same failure; however, the dealer would not honor the recall. The current mileage was 104,000 and failure mileage was 103,000.

The dealership refused to fix the problem under recall 03V327000. This vehicle was not included in the recall due to VIN. There have been no repairs to the vehicle at this time. He has checked the fuses and they seem to be fine. Updated 12/27/2005 - the consumer has the recall that was sent from the manufacturer but the dealer refused to perform the recall work.

The consumer said that the battery pole had a short life. The consumer replaced the battery pole himself. The consumer indicated that there was a delay in the signals coming on.

If solder joint cracking occurs and results in an open circuit, the turn signals/hazard lamps become intermittent or inoperative. Dealership indicated to the consumer that this vehicle wa snot included in the recall due to VIN.
