Latch plates on the rear seat belts broke twice since vehicle ownership. Ph the feature was a sliding lock bar built into the latch plate assembly which broke twice on the consumers vehicle. GM inspected the part and it was sent to an engineering for review. GM agreed to replace the latch plate as a good will even though the vehicle was out of warranty. This feature was designed to lock the belt into place and prevent a child safety from rocking while vehicle is in motion. The vehicle was repaired.
