This is the 5TH time the rotors on my wife's 2001 Malibu are warped---and at 26,000 miles---I bought a new car for the first time in my life so my wife could drive a reliable car---after 5 sets of rotors all dealer replaced an under warranty this car has been more of a pain in the ass then the 10 year old beater we traded in for it---will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a GM vehicle again

Terrible Engineering and no factory upgrades or assistance is exactly why GM is going broke!
Malibu is an engineering screw up with no factory or dealer recall for the problems. Brakes and rotors go bad every 16,000 miles like clock work even with the best rotors and pads I can buy at the parts houses. The first two sets were replaced by the dealer under the original 35,000 mile lousy warranty. I have had to replace the rotors and brakes at my cost since. There have been Engine, Electrical and Radiator engineering problems also. I have been a GM buyer my whole life but never again! I laugh and get sick when I see the new Malibu ads about the engineering marvel it is supposed to be. This car has been a headache and money pit. I am a very mild driver. 110,000 miles 7th brake job and a worn out car.
Stay away from GM!
