2002 Chevrolet Malibu 6 cylinder. Front struts were not functioning properly and required replacement (at my cost). Car mileage was appx 23K. My neighbor has a 2004 Malibu with 18K. Front struts were defective and replaced by dealer. My mechanic expressed surprised that struts should "go bad" on cars with such relatively low mileage.
