Transmission starting to slip on my wife's car at only 72k miles, and they are gentle miles, believe me. The trans on these is a pain to check anything on, manual actually says don't worry about even checking the trans fluid ever, unless you drive in harsh condition, then lists taxi, police car, or mountainous driving. But I will have to get it up in the air just to check this. Will do it this weekend and give an update, really annoyed with this car at the moment.

The transmission was shifting hard after getting off freeway.
Parked it and called the dealer, i have extended warranty, i will have to get it towed in. Started to research and found this site, hasn't turned into a horror story yet. I will find out tomorrow, If GM knows about these problems why didn't they let owners know so they can be fixed before the car breaks down . But i already know the answer to that MONEY!!. This will be the last GM I Own !! I will keep you posted on this.

In the fall of 2008 with only about 90K on this car my transmission started slipping while I was driving. I noticed a hard jerk every time that my car would switch gears. My dad told me that I probably needed to have the transmission fluid changed. I called every garage around and no one would change it due to it being "Lifetime Fluid" and the car had no dipstick. My dad had to call around and finally found out how much fluid the car needed and how to change it. The replacement gasket that he got was so flimsy that he re-used the old gasket and sealed it with Indian Head glue, but it totally solved the problem.
