my car will run great, but it broke down on me, I replace the crankshaft, cam shaft sensors, but car still would not start, moved the gear shifter, to reset neutral switch, car started up. two weeks later, electric fuel pump went out on it, replaced fuel pump, module, etc, that it all consists of, car ran fine, now go some where in car, car runs fine, come back out, engine turns over, but won't start?????, acts like it gets no fuel, or something is hindering fuel, great fuel pressure etc, but won't start at all. did this twice to me so far, and left me stranded, and had to have the car towed, put car on computer, no codes, car alarm had to be reset, anti theft light will come on for unknown reason, can't figure out why? cars runs great, till you need to start it up again, then won't start, after having a new fuel pump, crank, cam shaft sensors replaced, this only starting place about a month and a half ago all of a sudden started having problems with this car????????

A couple three months ago, the car wouldn't start but would act like it wanted to kick over to start but wouldn't. A neighbor came over and said it could be the fuel pump so we replaced it as well as the spark plugs, system flushed out, and a sensor replaced. It costs us about $500 to fix. After all this sh*t, it did it again so we called the tow truck to have a friend take it to his shop and look at. The tow truck driver told us we didn't need to have it towed. My husband and I looked at this poor guy like he was insane. He said that Malibu's are known for this problem. He told us to turn the key over and wait about 10-15 minutes and it would start. Sure as sh*t it started. Talk about being pissed. Then, it did it again yesterday at a friend's house in St. Louis. We packed the car up to leave and the car wouldn't start. We waited about 10 minutes and it started. Then we went to Springfield to a sports store and shut the car off and it started fine. We stopped around Mendota and shut the car off to fill up with gas and again it started. I think as many people that I seen on this site with the same problem, I think that GM should recall the car and fix the problem. This is what happens to these newer cars with more complicated crap on them. The older cars were built much better and had less problems than these newer cars. I plan to call the 800 number and complain as well. Hopefully, there will be a recall and the problem will get fixed.
